Creamy Rice Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. quick cooking rice
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. raisins
    1 (3 1/4 oz.) pkg. vanilla pudding mix
    4 c. milk
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/4 tsp. each: vanilla and cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg; place in saucepan.
    Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture comes to full boil, about 8 to 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat; cool 5 minutes, stirring once or twice.
    Add vanilla.
    Pour into serving bowl.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Serve warm with cream, if desired.
    Makes 8 servings.
