Coconut Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. milk
    2 eggs, separated
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 rounded Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 dash of salt
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1/2 c. shredded coconut
Preparation
    Combine egg yolks, sugar, flour, salt and cream of tartar with 1/4 cup of the 2 cups milk. Heat the other 1 3/4 cup milk; stir in egg mixture. Let boil briefly. Take off heat and add coconut and vanilla. Pour into cooled crust.
