Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 tsp. nutmeg
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. butter
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. nuts
2 c. raisins
2 tsp. baking soda (in 1 c. hot water)

Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Sift dry ingredients; add nuts and raisins.
Dissolve soda in 1 cup hot water.
Mix.
Add vanilla, butter and flour.
Bake in tube pan in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour.
