German Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 to 6 cooked potatoes, sliced thin
    onion or minced onion (as desired)
    dill pickles, diced (as desired)
    minced garlic or garlic powder (as desired)
    celery seed (as desired)
    vegetable oil (enough to moisten)
    vinegar
    water
Preparation
    This is best to make the day before so all the flavors marinate together.
