Strawberry Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. strawberry jello
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 (9 oz.) container Light Cool Whip
    1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, undrained
    1 c. chopped nuts, optional
Preparation
    Mix jello and pineapple in large saucepan; heat on stove until jello dissolves.
    Do not boil.
    Let cool; mix buttermilk and cool whip until well mixed.
    Add to jello mixture. Pour into 8 by 12 inch oblong dish, and sprinkle nuts on top.
    Chill in refrigerator.
