Divinity Fudge - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. white sugar
1/2 c. hot water
1/2 c. white Karo syrup
2 well-beaten egg whites
nuts (black walnuts are great)
vanilla flavoring
Preparation

Combine first 3 ingredients in a heavy pan.
Put on stove; stir until clear.
Cook to 225\u00b0 or just before soft ball stage. Put 1/3 cup into egg whites, slowly.
Cook remainder until soft ball stage.
Pour 1/3 into egg whites.
Put remainder on stove and cook until soft crack stage.
Add quickly to egg whites and beat until it begins to lose its shine.
Add nuts and vanilla flavoring.
Spoon onto wax paper and let set until firm.
