Mincemeat - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. beef, chopped fine
    3 qt. chopped apples
    1 lb. currants
    1 lb. raisins
    2 1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 tsp. ground cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/4 tsp. allspice
    2 c. sweet cider
    1 c. brandy
Preparation
    Cook all together (except brandy) for 1 hour, then add brandy. Best if let set in refrigerator a few days.
    Makes about 4 quarts.
