Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    3/4 c. dark brown sugar
    3/4 c. dark molasses
    3/4 c. melted shortening
    2 1/2 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. ginger
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. boiling water
Preparation
    Mix sugar, molasses and shortening together.
    Add beaten eggs and mix well.
    Add sifted dry ingredients and beat until well blended, then add boiling water and beat until smooth.
    The batter will be thin.
    Pour into greased and floured oblong pan, 9 x 14-inch, and bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
