Crackling Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. cracklings, cut into small pieces
Preparation
    Sift corn meal, salt and soda together over cracklings.
    Mix well.
    Combine buttermilk and beaten egg.
    Stir into corn meal mixture.
    Pour into a hot, greased bread pan.
    Bake at 450\u00b0 for about 25 minutes or until brown.
    Yields 8 servings.
