Buttermilk Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. walnuts
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    3/4 c. oil
    1 tsp. soda
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. finely chopped nuts
    5 to 6 c. flour
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 rounded tsp. soda, dissolved in 2 1/2 Tbsp. hot water
Preparation
    Heat corn syrup to boiling; add butter and heat to boiling again.
    Cool slightly and add remaining ingredients.
    Dough should be stiff.
    Chill overnight.
    Make a long roll and cut off in small pieces about every 1/2-inch or so.
    Place about 1/2 to 3/4-inch diameter on lightly greased baking sheet.
    Bake as needed.
    Keep dough chilled.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes; don't overbake. It should be firm when tested with finger.
