Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. hamburger
    1 lb. sausage
    2 c. cooked rice
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. minced onion
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 head cabbage
    2 c. sauerkraut
    1 (10 oz.) can tomato soup
    1/2 can water
Preparation
    Mix meat, rice, egg, onion and seasonings.
    Remove cabbage core and wilt in boiling water for 5 minutes until pliable. Drain and cool slightly.
    Separate leaves and place 2 tablespoons meat mixture on each and roll up.
    Grease 2 1/2-quart casserole and line with extra leaves and sauerkraut.
    Place pigs on top. Cover with soup and water mixture, then rest of cabbage leaves. Cover and bake for 1 hour at 400\u00b0.
    May be cooked ahead and re-warmed for later use.
