White Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    5 whole eggs, beaten
    2 c. (1 lb.) candied pineapple
    1 1/2 c. candied cherries
    4 c. pecan pieces
Preparation
    Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.
    Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, butter, lemon extract and eggs.
    Blend.
    Beat 2 minutes on low speed.
    Stir in by hand pineapple, cherries and pecans.
    Pour into pan.
    Place in a cold oven.
    Turn on oven to 250\u00b0.
    Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
    Will keep well for up to 6 months if wrapped real good and kept in refrigerator.
