Marinated Carrots Or Copper Pennies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. medium carrots
    1 small green pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1/4 c. pure lemon juice
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1 can tomato soup
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. prepared mustard
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    3/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Slice carrots; cook in little salted water in pan with tight cover until fork-tender.
    Cool in cold water.
    Arrange in glass container in layers with pepper and onion.
    Make dressing with remaining ingredients; pour over vegetables.
    Refrigerate for several hours.
