Potluck Potatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (2 lb.) bag hash brown potatoes, thawed
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    8 to 12 oz. grated sharp cheese
    2 c. sour cream (16 oz.)
    1/2 c. melted butter
    1 can cream of chicken soup
Preparation
    Mix together and pour into greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
