Sugarless Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 tsp. allspice or cloves
1/4 tsp. ground or fresh grated nutmeg
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. molasses
1/3 c. butter
1 c. sour milk or 3/4 c. water
1 egg (optional)
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 c. chopped dates or nuts (optional)
Preparation

Sift flour; resift with salt, soda and spices.
Heat to boiling molasses and butter; add sour milk or water.
Beat and add egg.
Stir in sifted ingredients.
Beat batter until well blended, then add vanilla and chopped dates or nuts.
Bake in greased 9 x 13-inch pan at 350\u00b0 for about 35 minutes.
