Cherry Sponge Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 sticks oleo or butter
    4 eggs
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream together sugar and oleo.
    Add eggs, beat well after each one.
    Add flour and fold in well. Pour batter into tart pan.
    Make squares in the batter with a toothpick.
    In each square put a spoonful of your favorite filling and bake.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 35 to 40 minutes (depending on oven).
    Test with toothpick.
    When cool, dust with powdered sugar.
