Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. salt
    2 c. warm water
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. Grandma's molasses
Preparation
    Mix the first 4 ingredients until fine crumbs (reserve 1 cup crumbs for top).
    Add water with baking soda dissolved in it and molasses.
    Beat until smooth.
    Sprinkle crumbs on top.
    Bake in a 9 x 13-inch greased and floured pan at 350\u00b0 for 50 minutes.
