Spicy Hot Black-Eyed Peas - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 slices bacon
1 (17 oz.) can black-eyed peas
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
1 c. chopped onion
1 large green pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tsp. ground cumin
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
chopped fresh parsley
Preparation

Cook bacon slices in large skillet over medium flame until crisp.
Remove bacon; crumble and set aside.
Stir all remaining ingredients except parsley into bacon drippings in skillet; bring to a boil over medium-high flame.
Reduce flame to low and simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Spoon mixture into serving dish; sprinkle bacon and parsley over top.
Yield:
6 servings.
