Aunt Marsha'S Mint Patties - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted confectioners sugar
    2 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. water
    1/4 tsp. mint extract
    2 or 3 drops food coloring of choice
Preparation
    Combine
    sugar,
    water\tand extract in a double boiler; add desired color.
    Put over simmering water for 3 minutes or until creamy and\tpours from spoon.
    Drop nickel sized patties onto waxed paper.
    When\tthey dry, you may decorate with icing if you wish.
