Kraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. chopped celery
    2 c. chopped bell pepper
    2 c. grated carrots
    2 c. chopped purple onion
    1 can kraut
    2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    1/2 c. oil
Preparation
    Mix together first 5 ingredients; set aside.
    Then, in a pot, add the next 3 ingredients.
    Let this come to a boil and then pour over kraut and mix well together.
    Refrigerate for 24 hours.
    Then serve.
