Never Fail Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 cups white sugar
    1 cup white karo syrup
    1/2 cup water
    3 cups raw spanish peanuts
    3 tsp. butter (no substitutes)
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. butter for preparing pan
Preparation
    Butter a large shallow baking pan or platter.
