Ingredients

1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
6 Tbsp. flour (rounded)
1/4 tsp. salt (can be omitted)
2 1/2 c. milk
2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Heat milk in double boiler.
Mix flour and brown sugar; stir into hot milk. Add egg yolks and stir in.
Add melted butter and stir. Add vanilla and stir.
Pour into a baked pie shell.
Beat egg whites and spread on top of pie.
Brown.
