Holiday Morning French Toast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. dried cranberries or raisins
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    3 tsp. cinnamon, divided
    3 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
    1 loaf Italian or French bread, cut into 1-inch slices
    6 large eggs
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. brown sugar
Preparation
    Combine brown sugar, butter and 1 teaspoon cinnamon in a 13 x 9 baking dish.
    Add apples and cranberries; toss to coat well. Spread apple mixture evenly over the bottom of the baking dish. Arrange bread slices on top.
