Ginger Beef With Soy Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. beef, thinly sliced
    1/4 c. slivered fresh ginger
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 1/3 Tbsp. Japanese rice wine (sake)
    2 1/2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Cut beef into 1 1/2-inch slices.
    Place beef and ginger in saucepan.
    Add enough water to cover, about 1 cup.
    Add sugar, Japanese rice wine and soy sauce.
    Simmer, stirring occasionally, until scarcely any water is left.
    Serves 4.
