Make Ahead Oriental Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (17 oz.) can tiny green peas, drained
    1 (17 oz.) can bean sprouts, drained
    1 (12 oz.) can whole kernel white corn, drained
    2 (5 oz. each) cans water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    1 (6 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
    1 (4 oz.) jar pimentos, drained and sliced (optional)
    1 large green pepper, sliced
    1 large onion, sliced
    1 c. water
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Combine vegetables in large bowl.
    Stir gently.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over vegetables.
    Chill 24 hours before serving.
