Ingredients

2 onions, sliced
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. flour
3 (14 1/2 oz.) cans Swanson beef broth
salt and pepper
1 slice French bread (per serving)
1 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese (per serving)
1 slice Swiss cheese per serving
Preparation

Saute onions in butter until brown.
Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour and cook for 1 minute. Add 2 cans beef broth, salt and pepper.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes.
