Chicken Chop Suey - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. melted fat
    3/4 lb. chicken, diced
    1 c. diced celery
    1 c. diced onion
    1 c. boiling water or chicken broth
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. paprika
Preparation
    Brown chicken in melted fat in a large frying pan, stirring constantly 5 or 6 minutes.
    Add celery and onion in water or broth.
    Cover and simmer 10 minutes.
    Add mushroom soup; cover and let simmer.
    Blend cornstarch with cold water to make a paste and stir into the cooking mixture.
    Continue to cook and stir 10 minutes.
    Add salt, sugar, soy sauce, pepper and paprika.
    Heat for 3 minutes.
    Serve over cooked rice.
