Irish Meat Loaf - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 lb. ground pork
    3 c. soft bread crumbs
    1 egg
    1/2 c. minced onion
    3/4 c. milk
    2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 tsp. ginger
    2 c. peeled apples, chopped
    1 1/2 c. mashed potatoes
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli, cooked and drained
    1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
Preparation
    Blend beef and pork in a bowl.
    Add next 6 ingredients; mix to blend.
    Stir in apples.
    Shape into loaf on jelly roll pan.
    Bake in preheated 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
    Drain off excess fat. Combine potatoes and broccoli; frost loaf with potato mixture. Sprinkle top with Cheddar cheese.
    Bake 15 minutes longer.
    Let stand about 5 minutes before removing to warmed platter.
