Macaroni And Cheese With Beef - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 Tbsp. salad oil
    1 medium-size onion, chopped
    1 medium-size green pepper, chopped
    1 lb. lean ground beef
    2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    3/4 (16 oz.) pkg. mostaccioli or ziti macaroni
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Cheddar cheese (2 c.)
Preparation
    About 45 minutes before serving:
    In 12-inch skillet, over medium heat, in hot salad oil, cook onion and green pepper until tender.
    Stir in ground beef.
    Over medium-high heat, cook until pan juices evaporate and meat is browned.
    Spoon off fat, if any. Stir in tomato sauce and 3/4 cup water.
    Heat to boiling.
    Reduce heat to medium-low, cover and simmer 25 minutes to blend flavors.
