Grandma'S Soft Rolled Molasses Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. molasses (light)
    1 c. margarine
    1/2 c. boiling water
    1 Tbsp. soda
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    flour
Preparation
    Combine egg, sugar, molasses and margarine.
    Add water with soda added.
    Add ginger, cloves, salt and cinnamon.
    Add enough flour to make a soft dough.
    Roll out on floured board and cut. Bake in 400\u00b0 oven just until they do not dent when touched lightly. Do not overbake.
    Sprinkle with sugar before baking.
    Keeps well in a tightly closed can.
