Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. red food coloring
2 tsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. cider vinegar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 c. all-purpose flour
Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and eggs.
In
a separate bowl, make a paste out of food coloring and cocoa, then add to cream mixture. Add salt, flour, vanilla and buttermilk, then remove from
mixer. Mix
in
(don't
beat)
vinegar and baking soda. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
