Texas Jalapeno Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal
    4 tsp. baking powder
    2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1 c. flour
    1 large can cream-style corn
    1 large onion, chopped
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    3 eggs, beaten
    3 Tbsp. sugar (optional)
    1 jar jalapeno peppers (a little less than 1/2 c. seeded and finely chopped)
Preparation
    Mix all together and pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch pan. Cook at 350\u00b0 for about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Remove from oven and cool 15 to 20 minutes before cutting.
