Crunchy Chews - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. dark corn syrup
    3/4 c. sugar
    3/4 c. creamy or chunk style peanut butter
    3/4 c. salted mixed nuts, broken
    4 1/2 c. corn flakes
Preparation
    Mix corn syrup and sugar in large saucepan.
    Bring to a full boil,
    stirring
    constantly.
    Remove from heat.
    Quickly stir
    in peanut butter.
    Add mixed nuts or peanuts and cereal, stirring
    to coat
    evenly.
    Turn
    into
    greased
    13 1/2 x 9 x 2-inch pan. Cool.
    Cut into squares.
    Makes 4 1/2 dozen.
