Minted Melon Ball - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 c. water
    4 mint leaves
    1/4 c. lemon juice
    2 c. cantaloupe balls
    2 c. watermelon balls
    2 c. honeydew balls
    mint sprigs
Preparation
    Combine sugar, water and mint leaves in a saucepan; stir well. Bring to boil over medium heat and boil for 2 minutes.
    Discard mint leaves.
    Add lemon juice to syrup mixture, stirring well. Chill thoroughly.
    Combine melon balls in serving dish.
    Pour syrup mixture over fruit and toss gently.
    Garnish fruit with mint sprigs.
    Makes 8 servings.
