Carolina Skillet Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. milk
1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
1/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
Grease and lightly flour cake pan or iron skillet (10-inch in diameter).
Cream shortening, gradually adding sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each.
Add flour and milk alternately.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into pan or skillet and top with Crumble Topping.
Make indentations in batter with your finger all the way to the bottom of pan, so the topping will bake into the cake.
Bake 35 minutes. If desired, drizzle with confectioners sugar icing.
