Chicken - Pork Adobo - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium sized chicken, cut into serving pieces
    2 lb. pork, cut into bite-size pieces
    1/2 head garlic, pounded
    2 tsp. black pepper, ground
    4 Tbsp. soy sauce or salt to taste
    1 c. vinegar
    3 c. water
    2 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 bay leaf
Preparation
    Place the pork and chicken in a saucepan.
    Add vinegar, garlic, pepper, soy sauce, bay leaf and water.
    Cover and cook slowly until most of the broth has evaporated and only about 1/4 cup remains and meat is tender (2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours).
    Remove liquid and set aside.
    Brown pork and chicken in oil.
    Pour in liquid and simmer a few minutes more.
    Serve hot.
    Good for six to ten people.
