Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head cabbage
    onion (small)
    green pepper
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 c. salad oil
    1/2 c. vinegar
    salt
    pepper
Preparation
    Shred cabbage very thin.
    Do not chop.
    Place in bowl.
    Slice onion very thin.
    (Do not chop.)
    Slice pepper very thin.
    Mix with cabbage.
    Sprinkle sugar over mixture.
    (Do not stir.)
    Pour vinegar and oil over the mixture.
    (Do not stir.)
    Cover tightly and place in refrigerator.
    Let set at least 1 hour.
