Yeast Dinner Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1 c. very warm water
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 1/4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 egg
    2 Tbsp. Crisco
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
    Sprinkle yeast over water in a large bowl.
    Stir it.
    Stir in sugar, 1 cup flour and salt.
    Beat until smooth.
    Add egg, shortening and remainder of flour.
    Beat until smooth.
    Scrape bowl down and cover.
    Let rise 30 minutes.
    Stir down.
    Spoon into 12 greased muffin pan cups.
    Cover and let rise for 15 minutes.
    Bake about 15 minutes or until lightly browned. Brush with butter.
    Cool on rack.
    Wrap in foil to freeze up to 4 months.
    Reheat in foil at 400\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
    Makes 12 rolls.
