Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    2 Tbsp. red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. flour
    2 Tbsp. cocoa
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Cream Crisco and sugar.
    Add eggs, food coloring and vanilla; mix well.
    Sift flour, cocoa and salt.
    Add and mix in buttermilk. Over top of cake batter, sprinkle vinegar and soda and fold in. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    Makes 3 (8-inch) layers or 2 (9-inch) layers.
