Crisp Pickle Slices - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 qt. sliced cucumbers
6 medium onions, sliced
2 green peppers, chopped
3 cloves garlic
1/3 c. salt (plain)
5 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 Tbsp. mustard seed
3 c. vinegar
Preparation

Do not peel (pare) cukes; slice thin.
Add onions, peppers and garlic.
Add salt.
Cover with cracked ice; mix thoroughly.
Let stand 3 hours; drain.
Combine remaining ingredients; pour over cuke mixture.
Heat just to boiling.
Seal in hot sterilized jars.
