Gaye'S Potato Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. peeled, cubed potatoes
    1 c. chopped celery
    1 c. chopped onion
    3 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
    2 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1 Tbsp. dried parsley flakes
    1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Combine potatoes, celery, onion, water and salt in a large, covered pot.
    Bring to a boil and add bouillon cubes.
    Lower to a simmer and cook 20 minutes until potatoes are tender.
    Mash with potato masher 2 or 3 times (leave some chunks of potatoes).
    Stir in the rest of the ingredients.
    Heat thoroughly, stirring frequently.
    Serve hot.
    Makes about 7 cups.
    Sprinkle top of your bowl with shredded cheese and/or crumbled bacon.
