Ingredients

2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 c. butter
3/4 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt into bowl. Chip butter into flour and cut until it resembles course meal.
Add buttermilk and mix until it forms a ball.
Pat onto waxed paper, 1/4-inch thick.
Cut with biscuit cutter and place on baking sheet. Preheat oven to 450\u00b0 and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve hot with butter, jam or honey.
