Ginger Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. boiling water
    2 eggs, well beaten
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening; add sugar, then molasses.
    Finally, add the boiling water.
    Add sifted dry ingredients, stirring all well after each addition.
    Add the well beaten eggs.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
