Easy Kraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. shredded cabbage
    3 Tbsp. salt (canning)
Preparation
    Scald and peel tomatoes.
    Squeeze the seeds and juice from tomatoes by hand.
    Put pulp in large cooker.
    Add 2 cups sugar to 1 cup tomatoes, with very little juice.
    Add lemon which has been sliced thin and cut into half moons.
    Cook as for jelly.
    Pour into jars, add 1/2 stick of cinnamon.
    Seal with lid.
    Water bath 5 minutes.
