Double Chocolate Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. butter or margarine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. corn syrup
    2 eggs
    2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
    1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 (6 oz.) pkg. (1/2 c.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/2 c. chopped California walnuts
Preparation
    Cream together first 3 ingredients until fluffy; add syrup and continue creaming.
    Beat in eggs and chocolate.
    Sift together dry ingredients; stir into batter.
    Fold in chocolate pieces and walnuts.
    Spread in greased 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan; bake in moderate oven (350\u00b0) about 25 minutes.
    Cut into squares or bars.
