Christmas Chocolate Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. crunchy peanut butter
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. melted butter
    8 oz. pitted dates, cut fine
    1 c. confectioners sugar
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. maraschino cherries, cut up and drained well
    12 oz. chocolate chips
    2 squares semi-sweet chocolate
    1 (1-inch) square wax
Preparation
    Combine peanut butter, egg, butter, dates, coconut and confectioners sugar in large bowl and mix thoroughly.
    If sticky, add more confectioners sugar.
    Shape in 1-inch balls and refrigerate while preparing chocolate for coating.
    Melt chocolate chips, semi-sweet chocolate and wax in top of a double boiler.
    Use spoon or fork and dip balls in melted chocolate.
    Place on foil to set.
    Store in a cool place in a covered container.
