River Farm Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. lemon extract
    1 c. molasses
    1 Tbsp. ginger
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
    1 tsp. soda, dissolved in 1 Tbsp. warm water
    flour (enough to roll, 3 1/2 to 4 c.)
Preparation
    Cream shortening; half butter and half lard is recommended. Add sugar and cream well.
    Add molasses, eggs and sugar and beat. Add vinegar, extract and dissolved soda.
    Add flour until dough is stiff enough to roll.
    Roll dough; cut out cookies.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 375\u00b0.
