Ice Cream Sandwiches - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/3 c. margarine or butter
    3/4 tsp. vanilla
    5 c. Popeye sweet puff cereal
    1 pt. brick-style ice cream (any flavor)
Preparation
    Line a 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan with aluminum foil. Grease.
    Melt marshmallows and margarine until smooth.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Pour over cereal; mix well.
    Spread into prepared pan. Cool completely.
    Cut cereal mixture in half, crosswise.
    Cut ice cream 3/8-inch thick slices.
    Arrange one-half pan of cereal mixture.
    Top with remaining half.
    Freeze until firm.
    Cut into 12 sandwiches.
    Store covered in freezer.
