Company Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    2 Tbsp. oil
    1 medium onion (optional)
    2 c. tomato juice or canned tomatoes
    1 Tbsp. catsup (or more)
    1 Tbsp. steak sauce or Worcestershire
    1/4 c. chopped green pepper or 2 Tbsp. chopped celery
    2 Tbsp. parsley or 1 tsp. oregano (use both if desired)
    salt and pepper
    1 to 1 1/2 c. cooked elbow macaroni
    1 can cream of mushroom soup
    1 c. grated Cheddar
Preparation
    Cook onion and pepper until transparent in the oil.
    Add meat and cook until it is browned.
    Add tomatoes and seasonings and let simmer 1 to 2 hours.
    Cook macaroni and drain.
    Add to meat mixture.
    Stir in soup and pour in casserole.
    Top with cheese. Bake at 350\u00b0 for about 30 minutes.
