One-Two-Three-Four Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3 c. flour
    2 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream shortening and
    sugar until fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time; beat after
    each
    addition.
    Add
    vanilla
    and
    mix well. Sift dry
    ingredients together and add alternately with buttermilk.
    Mix well.
    Pour
    batter
    into a greased tube pan. Bake at 325\u00b0 until golden brown, about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
